Damage deposit

We hold a damage deposit on your card 14 days before your arrival but do not draw it down, it is released 14 days after your departure date. We normally have no issues and do not charge you for the odd accidental broken glass or crockery which can be expected for large group gatherings.

Fire procedures

It is the party leader's responsibility to ensure the group has been made aware of the procedures that you must follow in case of a fire. This is available on the Guest Log in area and is sent as part of the pre arrival communication.

Pets

Up to two dogs are most welcome at a small extra charge, we ask that you keep them out of bedrooms and off the furniture, make them feel comfortable by bringing their own blankets and towels (for tidying up after long walks in the countryside) . We provide bowls, treats, poo bags and two cosy dog baskets.

Smoking

Cartrefle has a very strict no smoking policy. (includes vaping)

Earliest check in is normally 4.00pm. We kindly ask that you check out by 10.00am.

FAQ

  • Cartrefle is suitable for up to 16 guests, though we do have flexibility for infants

    All first floor rooms are double apart from Wyddfa which has twin beds and a bunk

    The two ground-floor bedrooms convert easily between either two single beds or one superking in each room.

  • Five of the bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom

    Two of the rooms, Dwy Bont & Yr Wyddfa share a large family bathroom with a cast iron bath, step in shower, WC & double basin.

  • We have space for a large number of cars, eight would fit with ease but more could be accommodated.

    Please find EV charging location a few minutes walk away in our Guest Log in area, there are currently no facilities on site.

  • One high chair and one cot are available free of charge and are stored in the utility room.

  • The gardens run down to the banks of the Menai Straits and as such cannot be made secure for pets or young children. The top of the drive is also open.

  • Yes, you can request this as an extra but it can only be confirmed based on the Housekeeping Teams availability to do so.

  • We were unable to conform to disability standards due to Cartrefle’s historic character but we've maximised accessibility for wheelchairs and mobility needs —with level flooring throughout the ground floor, step free access through the side entrance and a portable ramp for access at the front entrance. Two of the en suites are wheelchair accessible and one has a shower seat.

  • Waitrose, a short walk away and Tesco ( Bangor, make sure you choose the local one not Bangor, Ireland if ordering on line) both do delivery but deliveries of local produce can also be arranged.

  • We can provide options for outdoor catering.

  • Cartrefle had Full Fibre high speed broad band is excellent , though this can reduce where extenders may be required in some parts of the Manor
